Beautiful Morning azkar and Evening azkar

Only a few of us know the hundreds and thousands of benefits associated with Dhikr. This Dhikr of Morning Azkar protects us from evil thoughts, drives away shaytan, pleases Allah the all-knowing, and replaces pain and sorrow of the heart with peace and tranquility.

Dhikr nurtures the love of Allah in the hearts of believers and draws us near Him.

The Prophet said the one who remembers Allah in seclusion and weeps would remain in the shadow of Allah on the day when there is no shade but his.

We might not know the needs of our hearts and minds; it is mainly the reason for all the trouble and sorrow in this world. The Dhikr of the Almighty Allah alone can fulfill the needs of our hearts and minds.

In Surah Ar-Rad verse 28, the Almighty guides us: Such are the ones who believe (in the message of the Prophet) and whose hearts find rest in the remembrance of Allah. Indeed, in Allah’s remembrance, do hearts find rest.

The morning and evening Azkar offer numerous benefits.

  • It brings order out of chaos and relieves the believer of the twin burdens of anxiety and wrongdoing.
  • Reciting morning and evening Azkar rejuvenates a sluggish heart and helps in curbing gossip and idle talk.
  • Dhikr is the mighty barrier between the believer and the fire of hell.
  • The Angels seek forgiveness (tasbeeh for forgiveness) on behalf of those who do morning Azkar.
  • Hypocrisy cannot enter the heart filled with the love for the Almighty.
  • Morning and evening Dhikr are like a mighty fortress against the trials and tribulations of this world.
  • Morning Azkar smoothes out difficulties and eases the hardship.
  • It lightens the burden and banishes fear and anxiety from the heart.
  • For those who sit alone or together and mention the praise of Allah, it is like sitting in a corner of paradise.

O Lord, I seek refuge in You from laziness and the difficulties of old age. O Lord, I seek refuge in You from the torment of the Fire and the torment of the grave.”

Evening adhkar

“Dikr of the heart and tongue leads to knowledge of Allah ﷻ, inspires love, promotes humility, brings fear and self-examination. It prevents a person from neglecting obedience to God and despises sin.”
(Ibn al-Qaim)

Recite common Morning and Evening Azkar

Dhikr holds greater significance than everything else:
“…And the remembrance of Allah ﷻ is greater…” (Surah Al-‘Ankabut – 45)

Consistent engagement in dhikr leads to success:
“Remember Allah ﷻ much that you may be successful.” (Surah Al-Anfal – 45)

Dhikr revitalizes the heart:
“The parable of the one who remembers his Lord and the one who does not is like the parable of the living
and the dead.” (Bukhari)

Dhikr serves as the wellspring of peace and tranquility:
“Truly it is in the remembrance of Allah ﷻ that hearts find peace.” (Surah Ar-Ra’d – 28)

Those who neglect dhikr face loss:
“O you who believe, let not your wealth and your children divert you from remembrance of Allah ﷻ. And
whoever does that, then those are the losers.” (Surah Al-Munafiqun – 9)

Divine oneness and the purpose of daily dhikr

The Almighty Allah ﷻ neither begets nor is born, Nor is there to Him any equivalent. And we should contemplate these verses from the Quran, And I did not create the jinn and humankind except to worship Me. We need to listen to these verses and follow the path of our Prophet.

Engaging in daily remembrance (dhikr) serves the purpose of drawing closer to Allah ﷻ, safeguarding ourselves from evil, and seeking refuge in Him. It becomes significant when we come to understand that the world, often perceived as a lasting reality, is in fact, transient and will eventually come to an end.

As we embark on the journey of understanding our Creator, there comes a moment when everything starts to fall into place. It’s as if Allah ﷻ had a purpose, and you, in particular, hold a special place in His plan.

You might realize that He has entrusted you with a specific duty, but in the busyness of worldly affairs (Duniya), you may only have recognized it today. Alhamdulillah, if you’re reading this post, take a moment to express gratitude to the Almighty for guiding you to this realization of reality.

Dhikr types: Habitual and Conscious dhikr

As we know or must have experienced, Dhikr is of two types, and only one of these types will bring about Allah’s ﷻ recognition.

  1. Dhikr of the tongue.
  2. Dhikr of the heart.
  3. Dhikr of heart and tongue.

Ibn al-Jawzī explains the distinction between two types of Dhikr: the habitual and the conscious. The heedless one utters the words of Allah ﷻ out of habit. At the same time, the conscious one contemplates the wonders of creation or the Creator’s awesome nature, leading them to say Allah’s ﷻ name with understanding and sincerity.

And this thought drives him to say, “Subhanallah” Therefore, this Tasbih is the fruit of these thoughts; this is the Tasbih of consciousness.

Abu Dharr (God have mercy on him) reported: The Prophet Muhammad (ﷺ) said to me, “Shall I tell you the expression that is most loved by Allah?” It is ‘Subhan-Allahi wa bihamdihi‘ (Allah is free from imperfection, and His is the praise).”

Similarly, they think about the ugliness of their past sins, which leads them to remorse, fear, and regret. The result of this thinking is to say “Astaghfirullah“. This is the real Tasbih and Istigfar.

  1. Dhikr can be of the tongue, for which the one who utters it receives a reward, and it is not necessary for this that he understands or recalls its meaning (As long as a person harbors no intentions divergent from the intended meaning, they are in alignment with the original message).
  2. In addition to uttering it, this is more complete if he also remembers Allah ﷻ with his heart.
  3. In this part, you think about what the special words mean, like praising Allah and saying good things about Him, making it even better.

Conclusion

Power of daily dhikr.

The slave of Allah ﷻ cannot change his situation to another (shawl), nor does he have the strength (Quwwah) to do this on his own without the help of Allah. For sure, Ignorance is a sign of jahilliyah. Without even trying, how can someone conclude the results alone?

Indeed, the help of Allah ﷻ is near for the believers. Start doing daily dhikr; hopefully, the result will be noticeable on the first day, and soon, that day will come. Inshallah, you will realize what has changed since you started performing this dhikr.

Why is Morning Azkar important?

Morning Azkar is as essential as for a person having dreams in their life, whether in their profession, college, or anything else. Similarly, morning Azkar is that boost of positivity that we all need in our lives. Some benefits I have noticed in my life are straightforward thought processes, energy, focus toward deen (faith), etc.

Our deen is so systematic that it can never go wrong for anybody if we are on the righteous path. No one will come and say, “I did everything right, but things still went bad.” Nope!

Always start your day with gratitude towards Allah ﷻ, and trust me on this: He promised sustenance to every living being and Has said he will provide you with Rizq in ways you wouldn’t have imagined. Read this dua for gratitude.
