Surah Kafirun in english – Al Kafirun is those people who do not believe in Allah or his Messenger (Prophet Muhammad PBUH). One day, the Prophet Muhammad PBUH was performing Tawaf of Kaaba (The ritual of circumambulating the Kaaba 7 times in Mecca During hajj or Umrah). The Senior delegation of a tribe called Quraysh came to him.
They asked Prophet Muhammad PBUH if he would worship their Idol for one day. They would do the same worship, Allah, for one day.
The prophet forbade it, then they said if he worships their idols for a month, they will do the same. Our Prophet said no because this is not allowed in Islam. Prophet Muhammad PBUH could not do it because he was the Prophet and was performing his job as a messenger of Allah. He kindly refused them.
Finally, they told Mohammad PBUH that if he worshiped their idols for a year, they would also worship Allah for a year. So, prophet Muhammad PBUH kindly rejected. It is among the worse sin any human being can commit.
After all this, our Prophet said no for the last time everyone got confused. How could Prophet Muhammad PBUH be refused such a great offer? Then Allah revealed Surah al-kafirun.

Surah Kafirun in english
1) QUL YAA-AI YUHAL KAAFIROON
In this first Ayah, Allah told the Prophet PBUH to stand up and speak to those people of Quraysh. No doubt his Faith and love towards Allah are unmatchable to any one of us, or neither could be. He was willing to do this by all himself.
2) LAA A’BUDU MA T’ABUDOON
As Muslims, we do not worship many different Idols, and things like other people worship.
Because we as Muslims believe, it has been said to us from Prophet Muhammad PBUH that I endure witness that there is no god except Allah I bear witness that Muhammad is the messenger of Allah.
Only worship Allah. Because of Quraysh, people (disbelievers) worship many different gods and idols. Then Allah mentioned in the next Ayah.
3) WA LAA ANTUM ‘AABIDOONA MAA A’BUD
Disbelievers do not worship Allah even though some may think that they worship Allah.
4) WA LAA ANA ‘ABIDUM MAA ‘ABATTUM
This is to remind the disbelievers that as Muslims, we do not worship anything other than Allah and will never worship except Allah.
5) WA LAA ANTUM ‘AABIDOONA MA A’BUD
Suppose you worship all of those different things. In that case, you will never truly be worshipping Allah, as Allah does not accept this because Allah has no partners.
6) LAKUM DEENUKUM WA LIYA DEEN
As Muslims, we have our religion, Islam, and the Disbelievers have their religions. Everyone has a choice to choose their Faith, and if people do not want to become Muslim, we are not allowed to force them to accept Islam.
